After drawing spoofs of famous artwork like the "Mona Lisa," "Venus at the Mirror," and "A Mermaid," what's a cartoonist to do for an encore? Well, how about the famous piece "The Thinker," by Auguste Rodin (1840-1917)? Here, we see Disney's own great thinker, Belle, in a similar pose. Will it gain immortality as its predecessor did? Only time will tell....

We here at Ito Galleries, Ink. have long since lost count of how many of these pictures are of Bob's favorite character, Belle, in just about every pose imaginable (and some that aren't--get your head out of that gutter! Sheesh.) So if you can count higher than we can, you may be able to determine what number this image, Yet Another Belle Portrait, might be. Prizes will be awarded--the winner gets our eternal gratitude!

"Belle and the Prince at Cataqua Park" (belprnce.gif, 800x624x2, 14390 bytes) is the 63rd in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito .

This image is based on a suggestion by Zarina Mustapha for a BEAUTY AND THE BEAST picture set after the movie. So here are Belle and the Prince enjoying a picnic in Cataqua Park near Bob's home in Boulder, Colorado. Behind them are the Flatirons.

And if you thought the story was set in France... after all, there are plenty of places in the Colorado Rockies to hide an enchanted castle!

In this image, we see the lovely gypsy Esmeralda from Disney's HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME dancing and singing with her constant companion, the goat Djali.

"Mighty Ducks of Toontown" (mghtydks.gif, 743x473x2, 14156 bytes) is the 65th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito .

In honor of the new Mighty Ducks Saturday morning kiddie show from Disney, here is Bob's own rendition of the team, and their illustrious coach Donald. It would have been nice to depict them square off against the Canadiens, but you can't have everything. :)
