"Mickey and Minnie's Anniversary" (minminan.gif, 1016x730x2, 16118 bytes) is the 31st in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]> and the 10th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greeting cards, "when you're too cheap to buy a card". :-)

Minnie and Mickey have celebrated over a half-century together, yet for some reason, they never did manage to tie the knot. So in a sense, this image of the Mice sharing a piece of their wedding anniversary cake here is pure fantasy. But in another sense, it is not, for the Future Disney Cabinet's Walkaround Mickey and Minnie, r.a.d netters Rich and Carol Koster <rich_carol_koster@[...]> did in fact celebrate their anniversary in December, an occasion which was not forgotten by Bob or their other net friends on r.a.d and in the FDC. We hope that the Kosters' special day was as romantic as Mickey and Minnie's here is.

This is a handmade anniversary card that Bob drew for Rich and Carol Koster, and is posted with their permission. It's divided into three parts:

Top left: front of card
Right: inside right of card
Bottom left: back of card with "Bucketland Cards" slogan

As with all "Bucketland Cards", all personal messages have been deleted.

Happy anniversary, Rich and Carol, and fondest wishes for many more to come.

"Ariel's Donut Delivery Service" (aridonut.gif, 1023,657, 24435 bytes) is the 32nd in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]> and the 11th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greeting cards, "when you're too cheap to buy a card". :-)

Poor David Cuthbert <dacut@[...]>. He's probably the third- or fourth-biggest Ariel fan on rec.arts.disney (those of you ahead of him know who you are :-). But David knows that Ariel can never come to him, despite his practically turning his computer monitor into a shrine to her, what with the figurines of our red-headed heroine sitting on it and a email package he wrote himself and dubbed "ArielMail" running on it.

[From David: How is it that Amberle finds out about these things? :-)]

But wait! Could it be? What's that strange sound coming from the computer speaker? Why, it's Ariel herself, rapping on the screen from the other side, trying to distract David's attention from his half-eaten donut, his favorite food as a FDC Bucketeer! And she's got even more donuts with her, as well as a special surprise from her fellow Disney friends waiting for David! He checks the date--why, it's his birthday! David thinks about doing a virus scan on ArielMail, but decides against it--this is the kind of virus he can deal with (munch, munch)!

[D: For those that are wondering, no, I do not call the first version of my programs "Ariel" instead of "Alpha," nor do I call the second version "Belle" instead of "Beta." But I have considered it. :-)]

This is a handmade birthday card drawn by Bob for David Cuthbert, whose birthday was in December, and signed by the balance of the FDC's Bucketeer Bodyguard Brigade and their charge. Each FDC member who signed the card is represented by his or her walkaround character:

Amberle Ferrian <amberle@[...]>: Belle
Bob Ito <ito@[...]>: Grumpy
David Uy <daviduy@[...]>: Eilonwy (from THE BLACK CAULDRON)
Jeff Wilson <jdwilson@[...]> Beast

The image is divided into three sections as follows:

left: front of card
right: inside right of card
inset: back of card with "Bucketland Cards" slogan

As with all "Bucketland Cards", personal messages have been deleted.

Happy birthday, David!

[D: Thanks, guys! I loved the card!]

"Belle's Valentine Surprise" (1022x665x2, 30385 bytes) is the 33rd in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]> and the 12th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greeting cards, "when you're too cheap to buy a card." :-)

"Flowers, chocolates, promises you don't intend to keep..." That's what Cogsworth told Beast he'd have to give if he wanted to offer Belle something special. As you can see from this image, Beast obviously listened. But it still doesn't help calm his nerves, as he timorously approaches Belle's room, loaded down with gifts and goaded on by his Object servants. Not to fear, though. He obviously earned a place in Belle's heart--or at least the FDC walkaround Belle's heart, because it took her over two weeks before she crawled out of her room long enough to post this image! :-)

This was a handmade Valentine's Day card, drawn by Bob Ito, signed by himself and the other FDC Bucketeers--David Cuthbert, David Uy, and Jeff Wilson--and given to the FDC walkaround Belle, Amberle Ferrian. The image is divided into several sections:

left: front of card
right: inside right of card
inset: back of card, with Bucketland Cards slogan

As with all other Bucketland Cards, all personal messages and addresses have been deleted from the image.

"Jessica's Birthday Gift" (963x762x2, 25370 bytes), is the 34th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]>, and the 13th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greeting cards, "when you're too cheap to buy a card." :-)

An evening at the Ink and Paint Club, where its sultry star, Jessica Rabbit, is performing at a private party for her favorite fan. As she reprises her song from the movie WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT, you notice the lyrics have changed:

You've had plenty birthdays, and you're now "half dead" But this one's special, 'cause I'm here instead Why don't you sit back Like some other men do? Now make a wish Blow out your candles too

Now you had wanted me here--for so long I'll dance now with your carrot-cake--and sing this song Why don't you sit back Like some other men do? Now make a wish Blow out your candles too

Why don't you sit back? And happy birthday too!

This is a handmade birthday card for lar3ry gensch <lar3ry@[...]>, and was signed by Bob, the other FDC Bucketeers (Jeff Wilson, David Uy, and David Cuthbert), Amberle Ferrian, Pam Shaw, Christine Moeser, Ed Sterrett, Ed Murphy, Misti Jordan, Roberta Brubaker, Rich and Carol Koster and Geoff Thomas. Many of the signatories were present during a January FDCMuckmeet of rec.arts.disney/FDC regulars in Orlando. Interestingly, enough, lar3ry was present at this meet, and the card arrived there while he was there. How they managed to sign this behind his back without him knowing is one of those great unsolved mysteries of life. :-)

The card is divided into several sections as follows:

left: front of card
right: inside right of card
inset: back of card with Bucketland Cards slogan

As with all other Bucketland Cards, all personal messages and addresses have been deleted from the image, which is posted with the recipient's permission. Happy birthday, lar3ry!

"Eilonwy's Misery" (eilonduy.gif, 1022x767x2, 26158 bytes) is the 35th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]> and the 14th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greeting cards, "when you're too cheap to buy a card." :-)

Poor Eilonwy. She was one of the stars of Disney's long-lost film, THE BLACK CAULDRON, but she never got the recognition of her more famous Disney heroine sisters, due to the movie's miserable stay on the silver screen. And even worse, after that fiasco was over, she found herself stuck in some place called Rolla, Misery, with only a furiously busy amateur cel artist, David Uy the Bucketeer, as company. Life wasn't all bad, though. David was a nice guy, and Eilonwy got herself a decent job with "Uy Animation Art Studios" assisting him with cel painting. Even better, once a year she gets to feast on the rum cake he gets for his birthday! Now, if only his studio was a bit neater, so she could FIND the rumcake...

This was a handmade birthday card, drawn by Bob Ito, signed by himself, Amberle Ferrian, and the balance of the FDC Bucketeers--David Cuthbert and Jeff Wilson--and given to the FDC Eilonwy, David Uy <daviduy@[...]>, in honor of his talents in creating and sharing his own handmade animation art with us on the net. The image is divided into several sections:

left: front of card
right: inside right of card
inset: back of card, with Bucketland Cards slogan

As with all other Bucketland Cards, all personal messages and addresses have been deleted from the image.
