Ito Galleries #041 (1011x729x2, 24023 bytes)

"Belle's Birthday Surprise #2" (belbday2.gif, 1011x729x2, 23662 bytes) is the 41st in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]> and the 17th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greeting cards, "when you're too cheap to buy a card." :-)

WARNING: This image is a bit on the risque side--nothing nasty, just a bit suggestive, for reasons which will be obvious upon reading the description. :-)

"Flowers, chocolates, promises you don't intend to keep..." But those aren't really what Belle wants for her birthday, as the brainstorming Enchanted Objects soon realize. What she *really* wants is Beast. And since it's her birthday, she wants him clean, after he's taken a bath. But with a, uh, special towel to dry off in...;-)

This is a handmade birthday card draw by Bob Ito for the birthday of Amberle Ferrian, the FDC walkaround Belle. It, and its two companion cards, spent three months traveling around the world to various rec.arts.disney readers and FDC members to be signed. Overall, 5 of 88 netters who participated in this little project of Bob's :) got this card, which was created to send to the people who couldn't get "Belle's Birthday Surprise #1" (belbday1.gif) due to lack of time.

The image itself is divided into several sections:
Left: front of card
Right: inside of card
Insert: back of card with "Bucketland Cards" logo

As with all Bucketland cards, all personal messages have been deleted from the image.

And, getting out of third-person talk for a bit :-), I'd like to give another heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this project. You helped make this birthday of mine one of the best ever.

"No Misery for Eilonwy" (nomisery.gif, 1015x661x2, 23428 bytes) is the 42nd in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]> and the 18th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greeting cards, "when you're too cheap to buy a card". :-)

Well, after years of living literally in Misery, reading thousands of tedious books, drinking swimming pools' worth of coffee, and eating enough donuts to feed every police officer in the country for a year, the FDC's own favorite gender-bender, Eilonwy, manages to get out! And better yet, she even has a job to pay for it all! Now, the only question is getting out of Misery, and for that, well, let's just say that thumbing a ride is a lot easier when you have a skirt to hike up. ;-)

This is a handmade greeting card for David Uy <daviduy@[...]>, in honor of his getting a job and completing grad school. (Well, not quite, he's ABD right now, and will defend his Ph.D. dissertation hopefully sometime soon.) The image is divided into two main sections:

left: front of card
right: inside of card
inset: back of card with "Bucketland Cards" slogan

As with all Bucketland Cards, the image is distributed with the permission of the card's recipient, and all personal messages are deleted.

"Liberty Belle" (libbelle.gif, 391x765x2, 7770 bytes) is the 43rd in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]>.

Here, we see Bob Ito doing his share, both as a patriotic American and as a Disney fan, to celebrate the 4th of July. The New York City skyline will never be the same again. :-)

"Belle's Birthday Surprise #3" (belbday3.gif, 1021x675x2, 35885 bytes) is the 44th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawings by Bob Ito <ito@[...]> and the 19th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greeting cards, "when you're too cheap to buy a card." :-)

What happens when you get 22 Disney characters together in Beast's Castle? Two things: a GREAT surprise birthday party for Belle, and a really sore wrist for the poor Itoraptor artist who was to draw them all!

This is a handmade birthday card draw by Bob Ito for the birthday of Amberle Ferrian, the FDC walkaround Belle. It, and its two companion cards, spent three months traveling around the world to various rec.arts.disney readers and FDC members to be signed. Overall, about 40 of 88 netters who participated in this little project of Bob's :) got this card.

The card made a stop at February's Disneyana convention at Disneyland with the FDC Mickey and Minnie, Rich and Carol Koster, and was signed by numerous walkaround characters, Disney luminaries such as animators Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas (who commented that Bob's drawings were exceptionally well done--very high praise!), animators Bill Justice and Carl Barks, actors Fess "Davy Crockett" Parker and Virginia Davis.

"Aladdin's Birthday Surprise for Jasmine" (1019x753x2, 19085 bytes), is the 45th in a continuing series of fine Disney fanart drawing by Bob Ito <ito@[...]>, and the 20th in the so-called "Bucketland Cards" series of handmade greetings, "when you are too cheap to buy a card."

The ole Magic Carpet give his "tassles up" in a knowing gesture as Aladdin presents a birthday gift to Jasmine while soaring "through an endless diamond sky."

This is a handmade birthday card for Sherline Lee <sherline@[...]> the Future Disney Cabinet (FDC) Walkaround Jasmine and future Head of Clean-up Animation, and was signed by Bob, two other FDC Bucketeers (Jeff Wilson, and David Uy), and Amberle Ferrian, Steven and Vi Pagano, and Heather Urtheil.

Sherline's response to the card, upon receiving it, was "As usual, Bucketland Cards never ceases to amaze and delight those who are lucky enough to receive one." Sherline never did reveal what was in the present that Aladdin actually gave her in the card, though.

As with all other Bucketland Cards, all personal messages and addresses have been deleted from the image, which is posted with the recipient's permission. Hope you had a wonderful birthday, Sherline!
